Now our viggen is a part of the X-plane 8 and 9 package from Austin Meyer. We will continue to tune the model.

New release Beta 3.2

Progress is present, and the beta 3.2 is a "soncronising" release. It updates all XP8 Viggens to the same status. It also improves (?) the textures of the metal skin versions. However, we might tune them more to get the right touch.

About donations vs. payware

The donation frequency isnot high to say the least, and therefore we are considering the fact that we have to go payware. There will be free versions still, but the latest and more complicated models we might have to charge you for. This is most unfortunate, but we do have costs to cover, and work alot with this.

Sorry for this not so good news.

2006 December 12

The release is on schedule. Subject to release now is the JA37 in three variants.
One new looking JA as it was at Le Bourget air show back in 1979 and one "dusty" JA37 who is more like they were at the end.

There is also an SH37 from F10 and it is an AJ37 (more or less) but with more powerful radar and different functions for plotting targets.

The release will be scheduled to 15:th of December.

The new Beta 3 is comming for JA37 XP8 Blender:

- Completely new gears meshes

- More sophisticated gear's animation

- Flams texture inside engine core when A/B is running

- New nav lights

- Animated reverse plates when reverse thrust are active (still under trial)

- Variable exhaust nozzle with throttle

- Splinter textures

- Updated metal textures

- AJ variant with RB04 missiles

After crawling under the belly of a Viggen - with a guard breathing down our neck - we have new images of the belly that will be included in the new grey Viggen first, then adjusted to fit on the splinter version.

We will release the new texture with an updated acf-model with much updated characteristics and even more Viggen like. (Rudder behaviour, drag, reverse thrust, and spring constant of landing gear).

First trials of blended graphics and acf show grate potential!

Use of blended & separated graphics and flight model a success!

We have now proven the use of two models for separate advanced 3D graphics and flight model. This allows us to produce optimal flight models as well as optimal look separately.
